Peggle Art Contest

This is my entry to Pop Cap's Peggle Art contest. For those of you who have not played Peggle... well you should be ashamed of yourselves! Anyway, my entry was a new character class named Bernard the Butterfly. Wish me luck!

Go ahead... paint my face!

I wanted to start improving my digital painting techniques so I started with a black and white portrait of Clint Eastwood.

zbrush

I just recently started learning ZBrush so I thought I'd post some screen grabs of my first "real" attempt at sculpting. For those who have not tried ZBrush yet, I highly encourage you to give it a go! My experience so far has been utterly amazing. Sculpting feels extremely intuitive, and the learning curve is not nearly as steep as other 3d programs like Maya or 3dsmax. As a side note... this is not my typical art style as you may have noticed. This was more of a test of how detailed I could get. So with that said; expect to see something that feels a little more like my style in future posts.

Dino

I wanted to draw last night, but couldnt come up with any ideas for what I wanted to draw. Don't you hate that? You want to be creative but nothing comes out. Anyway, I forced myself to stop thinking and just start drawing. I'm finding its better to just start the process to get the juices flowing rather than waisting time thinking about what I should or shouldnt draw.

Bird Thumbnail Silhouettes

This was a fun example of using silhouettes to form character designs. Starting with simple shapes and erasing around the edges to get the desired look.
